In the beginning you created
And made the heavens and the earth,
Out of the void formless and lifeless,
You breathed and spoke it into birth,
Fashioned a man in your own likeness,

Formed woman with the man in union,
Sharing a kingdom of your own.
The man and woman in the garden,
Made in the image of the Three,
Lived in contentment with dominion
Over the land, the air, the sea,
But as the serpentine deceiver,
Their happy hearts fell like a stone,
They lost their innocence forever,
They lost the kingdom of your own.

Even before the world’s foundation,

You took the form of human servant—

And re-ascending to the throne,
You, reigning once again in triumph,
Re-claimed the kingdom of your own.
